Jennifer Aniston is Big Apple–bound.
An insider tells Us Weekly that the Mother's Day actress, 47, has decided to head from Los Angeles to New York amid the news that her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie are divorcing. "She's being hounded so much that she's leaving town," says the source.
Aniston's husband, Justin Theroux, who posted on Instagram September 22 that he wrapped filming on season three of his HBO drama, The Leftovers, is also due in New York soon to do press for his new film The Girl on the Train.
The Emmy-winning actress, who split from Pitt, 52, in 2005 after five years of marriage, has yet to speak out about her ex's divorce from Jolie, 41. But as Us previously reported, Aniston said, “Yeah, that’s karma for you!” while discussing the news with a longtime pal, according to an insider. (Jolie admitted in 2008 that she and Pitt "fell in love" while making Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004 — when Aniston and Pitt were still wed.)
The insider continued that Aniston “always got the sense that something would happen with [Pitt and Jolie] eventually. She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”
The Friends icon “admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split,” added a second source, but said she also “never wanted this for them or wished this on them.”
Jolie filed for divorce September 19 citing irreconcilable differences. She requested full physical custody of their six children: Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
